Trusting God's Perfect Timing

As a child, I recall that much of my life revolved around church events. Growing up in the 1970s, I'd walk two blocks from my house to the annual Christmas Bazaar in our Church Hall with a dollar and change for shopping. One purchase has been with me for over 40 years. It is a small wall plaque that states, "Trust in the Lord...and He shall direct thy paths." from Proverbs 3:5. I've displayed this plaque in my bedroom growing up and then at my places of employment. However, I lost track of this treasure about ten years ago. However, I recently recovered it while going through some storage bins at home (see image below). It now sits on my desk, reminding me to follow God's Will, not my own, and trust that if I continue to follow Jesus, I cannot go wrong. He will answer my prayers or give me His strength to deal with life's difficulties and disappointments while still having joy in my life.

Since starting Patterns by Paula, my business has yet to progress at the rate of my personal expectations. Still, I love creating modern designs to help spread God's love to all women - this is where my faith and passion intersect! So, I will continue to do everything I need to do on my end and trust God's perfect timing.

I'm sure almost everyone reading this can relate to the experience of waiting for growth, prosperity, answers, or someone to get better. You may be waiting for a job, a relationship, or a healing. Perhaps you're frustrated or discouraged because things aren't happening as you want them to. But I want to encourage you today to keep trusting God. He knows what's best for us and will bring His plan to fruition in His perfect time.

Here are a few tips for trusting God's perfect timing:

  • Spend time in prayer and Bible study. The more you get to know God, the more you can trust Him. He has a good plan for your life and will reveal that plan to you in His Word and through prayer. Be sure to listen to what He is saying in your quiet time or through the relationships he places in your life.

  • Be patient. Waiting is hard, but it's essential to be patient with God. He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28).

  • Be thankful. Even when things are tough, being grateful for what you have is important. Gratitude will help you to keep your eyes on God and His goodness.

  • Surround yourself with positive people. The people you spend time with can significantly impact your attitude. Make sure you're surrounding yourself with people who believe in you and who will encourage you to keep trusting God.

Remember, God is always with us. He loves you, and He has a perfect plan for your life. Trust Him, even when you can't see or understand the outcome.

Praying for an End to

Anti-Semitism & Violence

Finally, I ask you to join me in praying to end all racial hate, including anti-Semitism, for peace worldwide, especially in the Middle East, and to end violence and dangerous rhetoric sowing fear and terror in our cities and college campuses.

God calls us to be agents of peace and reconciliation in our world. Let's pray for the courage to stand up against injustice, to love our enemies, and to pray for those who sin against us. If God can create the whole world in six days, He can create new hearts in one!

Thank you for taking the time to read my blog post. I hope it has encouraged you to trust God's perfect timing!
